Occupational Rehabilitation

Occupational therapists at Focus Rehabilitation are highly skilled in injury prevention, rehabilitation and workplace injury management.

Our services include:

Worksite Assessments

Worksite Assessments are important information gathering tools used to mitigate risk associated with injured workers returning to work or in the prevention of further injury. Focus Rehabilitation uses qualified Occupational Therapists that are experienced in the administration of Worksite Assessments and the development of Suitable Duties Plans. Suitable duties plans can be used not only to prevent further injury but facilitate the return to pre-injury duties for an injured worker.

Ergonomics Assessments

Ergonomics assessments are used as a tool to optimise workplace health and safety. An Ergonomics assessment will identify potential risks, reduce potential injuries and increase employee comfort resulting in increased levels of work performance.

Return to Work Programs

A Return to Work Program is developed after a worksite assessment using the information gathered onsite as well as information collected from other treating medical professionals. This report will outline what the employee can and cannot do as well as timelines for recovery. The plan will outline recommendations and supports that may be required to optimise the injured workers return to work.

Workplace Risk Assessments

Workplace Risk Assessments are used to identify risks in the workplace and provide recommendations on risk mitigation. These assessments are undertaken by an Occupational Therapist at the Worksite and involve observation of the worker completing tasks that are common in the day-to-day work environment.

Soft Tissue Injury Management

Focus Rehabilitation has developed a unique approach to Soft Tissue Injury Management that is evidence-based and extremely effective. Our Soft Tissue Injury Management approach is used to prevent injuries as well as aid in soft tissue injury recovery.

Workplace Safety Education

At Focus Rehabilitation we believe that the best form of injury management is injury prevention. We provide education to both employers and employees on a range of topics such as soft tissue injury prevention, ergonomics, stress management and many more.
