About Us

Focus Rehabilitation is a leading Occupational Therapy Practice established in 1995 that offers professional assessment and treatment services primarily in workplace rehabilitation and medico-legal expert opinion. Our mission is to provide occupational therapy consulting and treatment services in a manner relevant to our clients, informed by a high level of experience and research evidence, and delivered in a timely, skilful and professional manner. Return to work programs, ergonomics and risk assessment services have been provided to both private and public organisations.

Sven Roehrs

Sven Roehrs, Owner and Principal Occupational Therapist, has been a practitioner for over 25 years providing occupational therapy services in Australia, England and Canada.

Sven has extensive experience in diagnosis, assessment, rehabilitation and medicolegal reporting, and has made court appearances as an expert witness on numerous occasions.

We continue to be briefed by a wide range of law firms with referrals taking us to numerous locations throughout Queensland and New South Wales, and as far as China.

Sven has held a range of honorary positions, or has been engaged to undertake roles that have included:

• Assessor of capacity to work for the Medical Registration Board

• Guest Post-Graduate and Undergraduate Lecturer for the Department of Occupational Therapy, University of Queensland

• Member of the Occupational Therapy Registration Board Panel of Assessors

• Advisor in Workplace Health and Safety, Juvenile Justice Queensland.

• Training Provider for the Occupational Therapy Australia in: functional capacity evaluation, work rehabilitation and soft tissue treatment

• Convener of the Work Special Interest Group, Occupational Therapy Australia, Queensland

• Professional Advisory Group Member for the Clinical Masters of Occupational Therapy, University of Queensland

• Advisor to Queensland Health - Health Outcomes Unit: Workplace Related Injuries
